Ruby on Rails Developer
Overview
We are looking for a talented Ruby on Rails developer to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside skilled developers to build, maintain, and enhance our web applications.
You will be joining a newly formed internal product team. We're a small team, so your work will carry great weight and have a great impact on the business. Our main platform is built in Ruby on Rails. Other highlights of our tech stack include Postgres, Sidekiq, Stripe, Git and Heroku.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have extensive experience in and passion for building and scaling web platforms using Ruby on Rails
- Be familiar with modern Rails front-end tech (such as Stimulus and Turbo)
- Have exposure and experience in building user interfaces referencing good UI/UX practices (previous usage of TailwindCSS is a bonus!)
- Have examples of driving projects to a successful completion, whilst retaining focus on building a scalable application
- Value lean development principles and take pride in delivering features quickly without compromising quality
- Be happy to contribute to fostering a culture of psychological safety, inclusivity and continuous improvement
Benefits
- Salary: £55,000 + annual bonus linked to performance (this will be pro-rated based on your start date)
- Annual Leave: 23 days plus bank holidays, increasing with every year served
- Pension: 5% employee and 3% employer contributions
